The short answer
Use Athlytic if you want a well-established Apple Watch app that's on the App Store today, with recovery, exertion, a target for effort and sleep, training load and Siri questions. Its App Store label says it collects no data, and Pro is $29.99 a year.
Use Auralo if you want the score turned into a day: a short plan that ticks itself off from Apple Health, a sleep need learned from your nights, a smart alarm, a forecast for tomorrow and experiments. It also works with other wearables and on iPhone alone, and Auralo+ is $19.99 a year.

Switching from Athlytic
There's nothing to move. Athlytic and Auralo both read Apple Health, so your Watch keeps saving the same heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep and workouts, and Auralo reads them.
- Install the beta and allow Apple Health access for the categories Auralo asks for.
- Run both for two weeks while Auralo learns your usual. Every score says how sure it is in the meantime.
- Cancel Athlytic Pro in Settings › your name › Subscriptions if you don't need it any more.
Questions
Can I run Athlytic and Auralo at the same time?
Yes. Both read Apple Health and neither needs exclusive access to your Watch.
Why are the scores different?
Each app compares you with your own baseline in its own way and on its own scale. Read each against its own trend, not against each other.
Which is cheaper?
Both have a free version. Athlytic Pro is $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year. Auralo+ is $1.99 a month or $19.99 a year, and Auralo's free version includes the sleep coach, smart alarm and daily plan.
Does Auralo work without an Apple Watch?
Yes, with other wearables that sync to Apple Health, or iPhone alone with rougher estimates. Athlytic needs a Watch for most features.
Is this medical advice?
No. Both give wellness information. If something feels wrong, talk to a doctor.
