Auralo vs WHOOP, Oura and Bevel

All four give you a morning recovery and sleep picture. They differ in what you have to buy, what you pay each year, and where your health data goes. Here's a plain comparison, including where the others are the better pick.

Looking for a WHOOP alternative without a subscription?

If you already wear an Apple Watch, you don't need a second device or a membership to get a daily recovery score. Auralo reads the heart-rate variability, resting heart rate and sleep your Watch already saves to Apple Health, and turns them into recovery, sleep, strain, stress and energy scores with a plan for the day. The core app is free, it needs no account, and everything is worked out on your iPhone and Watch. Auralo isn't on the App Store yet; the waitlist gets one email on launch day.

Auralo vs WHOOP

Choose WHOOP if you want a screenless band you can wear day and night without taking it off to charge a watch, you use Android, or you want the extra features in its higher tiers. WHOOP is built around one device and one app, and it's been doing recovery scores for years.

Choose Auralo if you already have an Apple Watch and don't want a second wearable or a yearly membership. Auralo's scores, daily plan, weekly training plan, sleep coach and Watch app are free.

Auralo vs Oura

Choose Oura if you don't want to wear a watch to bed. A ring is small, comfortable overnight and lasts days between charges, which makes sleep tracking easy to keep up. It also works with Android.

Choose Auralo if you'd rather not buy a ring and pay a monthly membership on top, and you're happy to wear your Watch at night. See how to track sleep with Apple Watch.

Auralo vs Bevel

Choose Bevel if you want one broad dashboard: recovery, sleep, strain and stress, plus nutrition and food logging, strength tracking, an AI coach in Pro, and a Mac app. It's also available today, and Auralo isn't yet.

Choose Auralo if you want fewer numbers and a clearer answer: a verdict for the day, one line on why, how sure it is, and a short plan that ticks itself off from Apple Health. No account, and nothing is uploaded. Auralo+ costs $9.99 a year.

What Auralo gives you for free

Auralo+ adds programs, 90-day and 1-year history, PDF reports, and custom looks and widgets. Want to know how the numbers work? Read how a recovery score works and HRV explained. For what we do and don't store, see the privacy policy.
